Since 1972, the Chico Area Flyfishers club has been involved in community activities which support and promote fly fishing. The Chico Area Flyfishers also support and participate in projects throughout Northern California which enhance fisheries and fish habitat. The club works with youth and adults alike to foster a love of fishing and the great outdoors.

MONTHLY MEETINGS

Monthly meetings are generally held at 6:30 pm on the second Wednesday of the month at the Lakeview Pavilion (2565 California Park Drive, Chico) and include fly tying demonstrations, guest speakers and raffles. All are invited.

Upcoming Guest Speakers

BECOME A MEMBER

Members hone their fly fishing skills by sharing new fishing techniques with each other, attending monthly presentations by guest speakers, and enjoying fishing trips with each other. The club produces a monthly newsletter and the website hosts blogs, forums, as well as a document library concerning the art of fly fishing.

Importantly, members also support, through their dues and active participation, many community activities that are involved in the conservation of fisheries, the education of youth groups and the support of military veterans through fly fishing activities.

If you are a fly fisherman with years of experience or have never tried fly fishing but think you would enjoy it, our club has something to offer you.
