OSince 1972, the Chico Area Flyfishers club has been involved in community activities which support and promote fly fishing. The Chico Area Flyfishers also support and participate in projects throughout Northern California which enhance fisheries and fish habitat. The club works with youth and adults alike to foster a love of fishing and the great outdoors.
Be sure to check out our Calendar, Events, and Newsletters pages.
The club meets on the second Wednesday of every month, October through May. Fly tying begins at 6:30pm and the General Meeting begins at 7:30pm.
Our next meeting will be Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Hogan Brown, of Hogan Brown Fly Fishing and co-founder of the California Bass Union, will be doing a fly tying demonstration (6:30pm), then a presentation following (7:30pm). His focus will be on targeting fish species other than trout. Trout and Steelhead fishing has long been associated with fly fishing, and the sport has evolved to include much, much more! October is also when we hold our elections for officers. If you are at all interested in serving as the club President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer, please let us know!
We meet at:
Lakeside Pavilion - 2565 California Park Dr. Chico, CA 95928
