WELCOME!Since 1972, the Chico Area Flyfishers club has been involved in community activities which support and promote fly fishing. The Chico Area Flyfishers also support and participate in projects throughout Northern California which enhance fisheries and fish habitat. The club works with youth and adults alike to foster a love of fishing and the great outdoors.
Be sure to check out our Calendar, Events, and Newsletters pages. The club meets on the second Wednesday of every month, October through May. Fly tying begins at 6:30pm and the general meeting begins at 7:30pm. We had a great turnout for our pizza feed! Our February 8th meeting will feature John Crotty, President of the Almanor Fishing Association. He will present on the state of the fisheries surrounding Lake Almanor. Two years ago the area surrounding Lake Almanor was hit by the Dixie Fire. John has kept in touch with how the environment has changed since that fire. If you haven't made your reservations for our 2023 Annual Fundraising Dinner on Saturday, March 4, 2023, then do so! Seating is limited. Lots of great auction/raffle items. See the information on the 2023 Annual Fundraising Dinner page! Our next meeting will be Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at: Lakeside Pavilion - 2565 California Park Dr. Chico, CA 95928
